Our favorite artist of the day goes by the name of Jan Metternich and his single "Dead End" is probably one of the 2021 most promising projects.

The track is intense and impressive from start to finish. Not only because Jan Metternich is a talented artist with multiple flows and artistic faces going from rap to singing, but also because nothing is left to chance: the production, the vocal and musical arrangements. “Dead End” is fresh musical air.

The project blends rap with the touches of pop. There is something for every taste while remaining consistent as Jan Metternich brings his own vibe to each of the tracks. A pleasure for the ears and the soul.

The single is a gift for our summer and it is now on repeat in our Spotify playlists.

Be ready to chill from start to finish:

We invite you to discover his music right now and to discover our conversation with him below:

1.Can you please tell our readers your real name as well as your stage name?

My stage name is the same as my real name. Jan Metternich.

It’s not a usual artist name but I’m just trying to be as real as possible.

2.Where are you from and Where are you based?

I’m from Germany and live near Cologne.

3.At What age did you start making music?

I started playing the guitar when I was 6 years old. In the beginning, I didn’t practice with that much fun but with 12 years it became my passion. I started uploading covers on YouTube and tried out a lot.

By the End of 2019, I released my first single on all platforms. It was always my dream to release my own music.

4.What genre would you consider yourself?

I don’t really stick to a certain genre. I just do what I like and write songs. I think most of them are similar to Pop Rap.

5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.

My latest Track "Dead End“ dropped last Friday. I worked really hard on that song and it’s my favorite song so far.

The story is about how I feel right now. The guitar melody is quite simple but really catchy. I produced, recorded, mastered, and mixed the track.

6.If you were given a chance, which Artist would you love to perform with?

There are many artists I’d love to perform with. My biggest dream was to perform with Juice Wrld.

I was really sad about his death. He is the biggest artist of all time in my opinion.

There’s literally no song I don’t like by him. I’ll never forget him.
