Our focus of the day is a delight for our ears. He goes by the name of Hank Quillen.

His latest offering entitled “ 'Where I'm From”, from the album- A Southern Style River Revival, Vol. I, caught our attention from the first notes. It delivers a haunting and emotional guitar and a particular voice. This song has so much feeling in it. Music made from the heart.

The song begins in a minimalist fashion but slowly builds in passion, fullness, and intensity, culminating in a powerful emotional finale. Anyway, this is a solidly energetic song from a musician who's been around the block and obviously knows what he’s doing.

2.Where are you from and Where are you based? 

Originally from a small town Gate City, VA and I'm based in Nashville, TN. Been in Nashville about 20 years.

3.At What age did you start making music? 

Started writing stories and poetry as far back as I can remember, 4 or 5 years old. Added the music side in my teenage years.

4.What genre would you consider yourself? 

Folk blues

5.Tell us about your latest track or Video ( what is it all about)–Please explain the concept or message.

 'Where I'm From', about growing up and not fully appreciating those years until some distance has been created from them and realizing how they shaped and made you into who you are now.
